I visited a food lover's paradise this morning - after a well-earned sleep in. After stopping in at a trendy coffee shop and bakery, I did a reconnaisance of Moore Wilson's fresh food - great fish, spices, dried porcini mushrooms, real bread and even shallots ($9.95/kg) . I had to restrain myself, since I'm off back to the West Island on Wednesday - and no fridge to store any leftovers in. So I stuck exactly (for a change) to my shopping list. Fish (salmon), poultry (duck breast), potatoes and some green vegetables - brocolli. In NZ, brocolli is sold per piece ($1.40) - with the surrounding stalk left on - which protects it during transport and makes it easier to handle.
So, I'll be straight in there to top up the larder when I come back. On Tuesday - right after work.
